"Samantha just go take your ten."

Without hesitation; she shyly apologizes once more then turns from her supervisor and the woman in her mid-thirties with the bleach blonde hair and red halter top both staring at her.

Samantha sits in the breakroom with her legs crossed and her head bowed.

"What is the Coffee Craze that everyone is so hyped up about?

I WANT to serve you Coffee. I WANT to make it just perfect for you. I WANT you to have a great experience at MY store... I just don't want to get yelled at over an easily fixable mistake. I'm sorry you wanted only one half decaf shot in your Iced Venti Triple espresso Soy Upside down Carmel Macchiato "

She takes a deep breath and slowly closes her eyes. She knows in her heart that some people don't realize their the unreasonable harshness of their actions. Being in a hurry is one thing. Yelling at a Barista for misunderstanding what's on the Cup because of it is another.

3 minutes go by.

Samantha came to the conclusion that she won't let the Bleach Blonde woman in her red halter top get to her because at the end of the day they are human just as anyone else in this world.

7 minutes go by.

She's now breathing slowly. Calm. Her Zen state of being.

By the time her break was over, she took a long slow deep inhale of air. Her way of meaning fresh new start. She felt the courage to go back out there and proceed onto her next tasks....

To know that just being this simple Barista working at an extremely busy Starbucks in down town Los Angeles - that she has to abide by the rules. For they don't say " We're in the PEOPLE business serving Coffee" for no reason.
